Kira's big soccer game

After two games of Kira standing around, her third game was a huge improvement. She played every second she was in the game, and even made a goal! She says two because she was throwing the ball in and the ref blew the whistle for the subs to come in, but Kira didn't realize it. So she threw the ball in, got it, and continued to the goal while everyone else was waiting on the subs. But if she says two goals, I'll go with that. I'm so proud of her! And of course it would happen the one time I didn't have my camera with me. Hopefully she'll play as hard next week too! She only has two games left- we will miss her last game because we will be in North Carolina.
I just wanted to make a quick update before heading out to church. The weather has been beautiful and we have been enjoying every bit of it (even though it's getting a little too warm too quickly in my opinion). I hope everyone has a great week!

Easter Weekend, part 2

In the last post we left off just after church with the balloon release. After church we went to have Easter dinner- at Buffalo Wild Wings.

JR signing 'stop' to Levi. I love it!'Dude, where's my food?!'When we got home we played in the backyard for a little while before heading in for naps.

Nana and Grandaddy got in that afternoon and we had Mason's party that night (pictures posted earlier) . Grandma left early Monday morning.

Grandpa and Ronda (and Mulligan and Molly) came by Monday afternoon.

Tuesday we went to Dollar Tree with Nana and Grandaddy, had lunch, then naps. They left Tuesday afternoon.

We had a fun, busy weekend, and we loved being able to see everyone! We are going to North Carolina Memorial Day weekend. We have only been living here 2.5 months, and it seems like we've either been out of town or had company here every other weekend! (I think that's a good thing- it means we're seeing a lot more of family than I though we would after moving!)

Easter weekend, part 1

This is going to be a long one, so I may have to break it into two posts.

All of the grandparents were able to come visit Easter weekend. Grandma was here Friday through Monday, Nana and Grandaddy were here Sunday through Tuesday, and Grandpa was here Monday.

I'll start with Easter Sunday.

Mason's First Birthday

We had Mason's birthday party on Easter Sunday so my parents could make it here to celebrate- Grandma Gay was already here.
Mason definitely enjoyed his cake! I think Kira and Jefferson enjoyed Mason's presents a little more than he did.
